| Connection | Modbus RTU (RS485)Modbus TCP (inferred) |
| Capabilities | Unknown know this? tell us |
| Requirements | The trip unit has to be reachable over Modbus through a communication module: IFM (Modbus RTU) or IFE (Modbus TCP), or EIFE on MasterPacT MTZ. IFE and EIFE always use Modbus ID 255, the IFM uses the address set on its rotary switches.
4-pole versions measure the neutral directly. 3-pole versions need an external neutral voltage tap (ENVT) for this, connected and declared in the trip unit (system type 40 or 41). Without ENVT, power values are wrong whenever current flows in the neutral.
The power flow sign has to be set with "EcoStruxure Power Commission" so that the normal direction of flow counts as positive. Factory setting: from the top terminals to the bottom ones. [source, 2026-10-19] |
